MIT has renewed its Memorandum of Understanding with SENZ, the training and employment services provider for Pasifika communities throughout the country.
SENZ receives funding from Tupu Aotearoa to help Pasifika communities gain skills and qualifications leading to employment opportunities.
MIT’s agreement with SENZ is focused on guiding our ākonga through their education and employment journey, providing additional pastoral care, devices, books, uniforms, petrol vouchers, food parcels and drivers’ licenses.
MIT has been partnering with SENZ since 2020, helping more than one hundred ākonga receive additional support and assistance throughout their studies.
Matt Asi-Pasitoa, National Manager SENZ Tupu Aotearoa, says, “Our renewed partnership with MIT is a significant step forward in our commitment to empowering Pasifika learners.
“Through the Tupu Aotearoa Programme, we’re dedicated to providing tailored education and vocational training that meets the unique needs of our community.
“This collaboration with MIT will open doors to new opportunities, equipping Pasifika individuals with the skills and qualifications they need to succeed in their chosen careers.
“Ultimately, this partnership will help build a stronger, more resilient Pasifika community in Aotearoa New Zealand.”
Maureen Prasad, Employment Consultant at MIT, adds, “We’re delighted to be working with SENZ in order to provide these opportunities, and look forward to a fruitful and productive working relationship.”
