Biography

Sylvia started her education journey through play centre, where she took her children then eventually becoming centre facilitator and when her children went to primary school, she stayed on to help the next group parents and children who were attending play centre.

She volunteered as a reader helper at her children's school and from there studied to become a teacher aide and was lucky enough to teach at her children's school.

Sylvia went to Aorere College where she became a teacher aide in hospitality, art, dance, and drama, then ended her education career at Aorere to pursue higher learning.

Why I love MIT

I love being at MIT because there is a good atmosphere, which gives me a sense of belonging.  People here are so friendly and have amazing sense of humour.
