Biography

Kriya is an experienced primary school teacher, who is passionate about working in Pasifika communities. She is proud to be born and raised in South Auckland and serves her community through her mahi in education and sport.

For the past five years, Kriya supported teachers and leaders across primary and secondary schools as part of a Kāhui Ako. This sparked her interest to work with people from all walks of life, and prompted her to carry out her Masters degree, which she later completed with honours.

Kriya takes a holistic approach to teaching and learning. She places great value on building relationships and embraces the strengths of all. She is committed to her work in education and hopes to inspire learners to grow and reach their potential, as future leaders.
