Biography

Quaanita is a South African born and trained hairdresser. She started her career in Johannesburg twenty years ago at Jeauval Hair salon where she worked as an apprentice and qualified stylist. She has styled local celebrities, news anchors and worked on spreads for People Magazine sponsored by Jeauval Hair salon.

Quaanita moved to New Zealand ten years ago and continued her stylist journey.

Working at Rodney Wayne for eight years on their artistic team was the first step into a future in education. Being a part of Rodney Wayne’s artistic team allowed for training in facilitating classes on cutting and styling etc, working on campaign and magazine shoots as well as fashion week and not forgetting her competition work where she has been a finalist for Loreal colour trophy and industry awards. With this wide range of knowledge and passion for hair, Quaanita has chosen to pay it forward and help the future generation of stylists flourish in this ever-evolving industry.

Why I love MIT

MIT has felt like home from the moment I walked through the door. I am grateful to be a part of this team.
