Who should attend

All persons seeking employment on board commercial ships

Those seafarers wishing to renew their Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting certificate of proficiency but do not have sufficient sea service to meet the criteria for the Refresher course.

Course highlights

This course is part of the mandatory ‘STCW basic safety training’ for all seafarers. It deals with the precautions needed to minimise the risk of fires, how fires are caused and how to extinguish them.

The course meets the requirements for STCW Section A-VI/1.2.1.2.
