Course highlights
This course is intended for seafarers serving on oil tankers who are required to undertake additional training and familiarisation. Students learn the relevant technical knowledge to assume the responsibilities of Master, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, Second Engineer or of any other person having direct responsibility for cargo operations.
This course meets the requirements of STCW Section A-V/1.1.2 and Table A-V/1-1-2.

Entry requirements
This course meets the requirements* of MaritimeNZ for the issuing of an endorsement to student’s certificate of competency.
*To be eligible for the MNZ endorsement the student must:
- Have evidence of having completed the STCW Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (basic) course and the STCW Advanced Fire Fighting course.
- hold a basic tanker endorsement
Either complete three months’ sea service or complete one month on board a tanker as a supernumerary (extra crew member) and a training record book.
