Jo has been teaching at Manukau Institute of Technology since 2009. Before that she was a teacher in home-based and centre-based care, and then public kindergartens. For several years, she has also worked at the refugee centre with young children who have newly arrived to New Zealand.

Now, Jo teaches in the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education (Level 4), and works in the second and third years for the Bachelor of Education (Level 7). She is interested in the processes of teaching and learning, and how her planning and execution enables others learning.
